In a significant event marking a milestone in academic and professional collaboration, Dr. Cecilda Rillera, President of Baguio Central University, delivered an inspiring message as a co-host at the 1st RISE 2024: ICREATE International Conference on Research and Exhibits on Aviation and Aeronautics, Tourism, Engineering, and Education. This groundbreaking conference brought together leading minds from diverse fields to foster innovation and excellence.
In her address, Dr. Rillera highlighted the critical importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in driving forward both academic and industry advancements. She emphasized that the theme of the conference— “Innovating for Sustainable Futures: Advancing Aviation, Aeronotics, Tourism, Engineering and Education”—are interconnected sectors that can mutually benefit from shared knowledge and research.

Dr. Rillera also made special mention of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17, which focuses on partnerships for the goals. She emphasized that collaboration and partnership are essential for achieving sustainable development across all sectors. “SDG 17 underscores the importance of working together to achieve our common goals. This conference exemplifies the spirit of partnership that is necessary to address global challenges and drive progress,” she highlighted.
