Faculty members of the College of Business Administration (CBA) at Baguio Central University actively participated during the faculty rest and recreation activity titled “Rest, Reflect & Reinvigorate: CBA Faculty RnR Day” held at Pooten Resort in Asin, Tuba, Benguet last May 20, 2025.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for faculty members to unwind, strengthen camaraderie, and promote overall wellness in a refreshing and relaxing environment contributing to maintaining a healthy work-life balance and fostering stronger team dynamics. In a refreshing break from academic routines, the event featured a combination of a short Zumba dance session, games, swimming, and steam bathing offering a well-rounded experience that catered to both physical fitness and mental rejuvenation.

The activity kicked off with a lively Zumba dance, energizing participants with upbeat music and simple choreography. This short but invigorating session served as a warm-up, boosting morale and setting a positive tone for the day.

Faculty members also enjoyed swimming sessions that allowed them to unwind while engaging in a low-impact, full-body exercise. Swimming not only provided physical health benefits such as improved cardiovascular strength and flexibility but also helped ease tension and stress accumulated from work responsibilities.

To complete the wellness experience, participants indulged in steam bathing. This soothing activity helped relax muscles, detoxify the body, and further relieve stress—providing a perfect way to end the day on a calm and revitalizing note.

The rest and recreation event proved to be a meaningful initiative, reminding faculty of the importance of self-care and work-life balance. It fostered a spirit of unity, encouraged healthy lifestyle habits, and offered a much-needed opportunity to recharge—equipping faculty to return to their roles with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
