2nd CBA Student Research Colloquium Highlights Innovation and Sustainability

The College of Business Administration of Baguio Central University successfully held its 2nd CBA Student Research Colloquium on November 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the MJF Function Hall. With the theme “Advancing Business Excellence through Research, Innovation and Sustainability,” the event gathered 3rd and 4th year students to showcase their research outputs and feasibility studies that reflect their growing competence, creativity, and commitment to sustainable business development.

In line with the institution’s goal of fostering responsible and future-ready leaders, the colloquium strongly highlighted the integration of key Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). These global frameworks guided the students in crafting projects that respond to real-world business issues with innovation and environmental consciousness.

The event was graced by a distinguished panel of examiners, namely Dr. Michael Sebullen, University Director; Dr. Edna Culbongan, Research Coordinator of the Graduate School; Mx. Jojo Ivan Inuguidan, faculty from the University of Baguio; Ms. Marga Taganas, CBA faculty; and Ms. Donna Fe Amseden, alumna and business enthusiast. Their expertise and insights provided valuable feedback, enriching the discussions and enhancing the academic rigor of the presentations. The program featured two major parts: the presentation of business research studies in the first segment and the showcasing of feasibility studies and innovative products in the second. The business researchers presented diverse topics addressing organizational development, consumer behavior, sustainability initiatives, and strategic improvement in business operations. Meanwhile, the feasibility studies highlighted entrepreneurial ventures designed with eco-friendly, socially responsible, and community-centered approaches, demonstrating the students’ ability to merge creativity with sustainable business models.

The success of the event stands as a testament to the hard work of the students, the guidance of the faculty, and the collaborative support of evaluators who all share the vision of shaping business professionals committed to creating a more sustainable and future-ready world.
