BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Demonstrating Baguio Central University’s commitment to advancing research excellence and international publication, Dr. Cherrie Mae M. Manuel, Dean and Research Coordinator of the College of Business Administration (CBA), actively participated in the K.A.B.A.D.A.N.G. A.C.H.I.E.V.E. 2025 Research Publication Mentoring Program, the flagship research mentoring initiative of the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR).
The program, rooted in the Cordilleran value of kabadang—which emphasizes mutual help, collaboration, and mentorship—aims to strengthen the research-to-publication pipeline by equipping higher education institution (HEI) faculty members with the knowledge, skills, and guidance needed to produce internationally publishable, high-impact research. Through expert mentoring and collaborative learning, participants are empowered to elevate the quality and visibility of their scholarly work on the global stage.
As the Dean and Research Coordinator of the College of Business Administration, Dr. Manuel’s participation reflects her unwavering commitment to promoting a strong research culture within the college. Her involvement in the mentoring program further enhances the College’s initiatives in research capability building, publication productivity, and the development of evidence-based knowledge that contributes to business, governance, and community development.
The mentoring program also aligns with CHED’s national ACHIEVE Framework, which supports the country’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)-based Research and Innovation Agenda by encouraging impactful, globally competitive, and socially relevant research. By participating in this initiative, Dr. Manuel strengthens her capacity to mentor faculty researchers, improve research outputs, and foster a culture of scholarly excellence within the College of Business Administration.
