CBA Joins the 2025 Presidential Filipinnovation Awards: Championing Innovation for a Sustainable Future

The College of Business Administration proudly took part in the 2025 Presidential Filipinnovation Awards held on November 5–6, 2025 at Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila, Quezon City. The event brought together the country’s brightest innovators for an exciting showcase of breakthrough ideas through pitching sessions, product demonstrations, and immersive innovation exhibits.

With 15 outstanding finalists competing, the atmosphere was filled with energy and creativity. Five exceptional teams were awarded the Presidential Medallion, receiving not only a cash grant but also a post-competition support package, further strengthening the Philippines’ commitment to nurturing a thriving and collaborative innovation ecosystem.

Representing the College of Business Administration were Dean Dr. Cherrie Mae M. Manuel, SGO Governor Jonalyn Geronimo, SGO Secretary Aaliyah Lexi Escano, and JMPAP Club Vice President Ms. Sheenah Rullamas. The delegation gained valuable insights from national-level pitching and idea development, an experience that will enrich both their academic growth and future CBA initiatives.

Guests also explored innovation booths where participants exchanged ideas, built networks, and discovered emerging technologies, making the event a vibrant hub for inspiration and collaboration.

Baguio Central University was likewise represented by University Research Director Dr. Michael T. Sebullen, Extension Coordinator Ms. Arlene Mintas, and Athletics Director Dr. Michelle C. Alumno, accompanied by athlete Mr. Gideon Montes. Their participation opened opportunities for meaningful partnerships, including potential collaboration with Pili Seal, Pili AdheSeal, Inc., one of the distinguished awardees. This connection signals promising future projects rooted in research, community engagement, and technological advancement.

Returning from the event, the CBA delegation carries renewed inspiration and motivation to contribute to sustainable and inclusive innovation. Their participation reinforces the University’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
