The College of Business Administration (CBA), represented by its BSBA Program Coordinator, Marga L. Taganas, joined the As You Are (AYA) Builder’s Circle community networking dinner on June 20, 2026, at El Cielito Hotel, Baguio City.

Taganas; and Destine Event’s Founder, Jennifer Castro

Organized by AYA Baguio in partnership with Destine Events and convened through an invitation from Ms. Jennifer F. Castro, Founder of Destine Events, the Builder’s Circle brought together entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, students, community builders, and ecosystem enablers from across the city. The gathering aimed to foster meaningful connections, encourage collaboration, and facilitate knowledge sharing within Baguio City’s growing entrepreneurial and creative ecosystem.

During the dinner, participants were prompted to answer two central questions: “What do you need?” and “What do you offer?” These prompts guided conversations toward practical needs and available resources, enabling attendees to identify complementary interests and immediate opportunities for collaboration.

For the CBA, participation offered direct benefits to both teaching and extension activities. The event provided a platform to strengthen academia–industry linkages, gather insights on current developments in entrepreneurship and innovation, and explore partnerships that could support curricular enhancements, student engagement, and community outreach initiatives.

Organizers said the Builder’s Circle serves as an ongoing forum for nurturing local networks that bridge creative, business, and academic communities—an approach that organizers and attendees believe will accelerate shared projects and bolster Baguio’s reputation as a hub for innovation. CBA’s attendance underscores the college’s commitment to active engagement with the local entrepreneurial ecosystem and to creating opportunities that connect students and faculty with industry partners and community stakeholders.

This activity aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals. By fostering collaborations among academia, entrepreneurs, creatives, students, and community builders, the AYA Builder’s Circle strengthens multi-stakeholder partnerships that mobilize resources, share knowledge, and support inclusive innovation—contributions that advance sustainable development locally and help achieve other SDGs through coordinated action.
