January 13, 2025- The College of Criminal Justice Education marks the opening of classes with a MOA Signing Event with new partner agencies. The theme of the said event is “Bridging Opportunities:
Collaborative Expansion for Future Criminal Justice Professionals”. The CCJE, lead by OIC-Dean Beca May Pidlao-Palitayan, invited seventeen partner agencies to attend the said Memorandum of Agreement Signing Event. The reason why the activity was conducted was in compliance with the Policies, Standards and Guidelines (PSG) for the Bachelor of Science of Criminology (CMO 05 series of 2018) requirement, wherein it was required that all HEIs offering BSCRIM must ensure that the criminology graduates demonstrate competence and broad understanding in law enforcement administration, public safety and criminal justice.

Moreover, section 10 of CMO 05 series of 2018 specifies that the practicum/On-the-job training and community immersion requires that there shall be a link up of the school with accredited police or security training centers, Department of Interior and Local Government, National Bureau of Investigation, National Police Commission, Philippine National Police, Crime Laboratory, Corrections and Rehabilitation Training Center, Fire Stations, Probation and Parole Administration and Bureau of Immigration.

For the Intern’s On-the Job Training 1, the partner agencies who will be training the criminology interns are the Baguio City Police Office, Regional Anti Cyber-Crime Unit, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Protection-CAR, and the Regional Highway Patrol Unit.

The new partner agencies of the CCJE for the Intern’s Community Immersion are the LGU-Barangay Asin Road, Roxas National High School, and the Manuel A. Roxas Elementary School.

Other agencies such as the City Mobile Force Company, RLJC Driving School, Paraiso Resort, and the Regional Human Rights Affairs Office also joined the MOA signing event.

Aside from complying with the PSG, the event also reflected the United Nations SDG 4 (Quality Education), 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).

Participating also in the event was the CCJE Color Guards and Faculty Members, the Class Bagsik Lahi Interns, and the BCU Chamber Choir.
