We proudly announce an achievement for Baguio Central University (BCU)!
Dr. Genevieve Balance Kupang, Dean of the Graduate School and International Relations Officer, has officially qualified to present her co-authored research at the 2025 WURI Global Conference, set to take place from September 24–26, 2025, at Tongmyong University, Busan, South Korea. She will represent her esteemed co-researchers: Engr. Criselda S. Felix, Dr. Avilardo B. Leon, and Ms. Christina M. Wallang in their study titled “Creating Ethical Guidelines and a Responsible AI Integration Framework for Baguio Central University.”
During the 5th Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) Conference held in Dumaguete City from July 9–11, 2025, WURI Founder and President Dr. Dong-Sung Cho made an announcement that Kupang has been named to the Guest Editorship Team of the pioneering AI Journal of Business.
Her research was honored with selection for publication in the inaugural issue of the WURI Journal of Innovation—a platform launched in collaboration with the AI Business Academy. This issue explores the vital theme: “WURI Rankings – Their Roles and Impacts on University Management in the Era of Artificial Intelligence.”
This distinction recognizes Kupang’s leadership and her commitment to embedding innovation, integrity, and ethics into academic and institutional transformation. Her work reflects the very spirit of the Hanseatic League of University and the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI): crossing boundaries, challenging systems, empowering change, and fostering hope.
