The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) held its General Assembly and Orientation on August 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 NN at the MJF Function Hall with the theme “Building a Culture of Excellence: Know the Rules, Embrace the Standards.” The event gathered all CHTM students to formally welcome them to the new academic year and orient them on the College’s vision, mission, goals, and academic standards.

The assembly was organized by the Introduction to MICE students under the supervision of Mr. Wilver A. Duyapat. Opening Remarks were delivered by Dr. Elma D. Donaal, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who emphasized discipline, commitment, and excellence in academic life.

A highlight of the program was the Recognition of Active SGO Officers and Outstanding Faculty for A.Y. 2024–2025, led by Dr. Jocelyn B. Ang, Dean of CHTM, together with Dr. Elma D. Donaal.

Student presentations enriched the orientation by providing a clear understanding of the College’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives, faculty composition, facilities, and student policies, thereby supporting Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) through structured and inclusive learning. The importance of research was highlighted by Dr. Michael T. Sebullen, Director for Research and Development, followed by an open forum that encouraged active student engagement and critical thinking.

The program concluded with the Closing Remarks of Dean Jocelyn B. Ang, who encouraged students to uphold professionalism, integrity, and excellence.

Anchored on its theme, the 2025 CHTM General Assembly and Orientation set the tone for discipline, collaboration, and academic excellence, in line with the mission of Baguio Central University and its commitment to SDG 4: Quality Education.
