The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) has consistently taken part in Dugong Bombo, a community-based blood donation initiative, as part of its long-standing commitment to social responsibility, community engagement, and sustainable development. In its continued involvement, CHTM actively participated in Dugong Bombo 2025, held on November 15, 2025. The activity aimed to support blood donors through the provision of hot meals, specifically the distribution of sopas exclusively for blood donors and facilitating personnel, promote health and wellness, and strengthen collaboration between the University and the local community. Throughout the activity, the College also actively promoted Baguio Central University and the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management to the public and participating stakeholders.

During the activity, students enrolled in Kitchen Essentials prepared and served sopas for blood donors and facilitating personnel under the direction of the Student Government Organization (SGO) officers, with assistance from the Mr. and Ms. BCU–CHTM candidates, ensuring efficient coordination and teamwork.

In addition, the Department of CHTM, guided by the Dean and faculty members, promoted its academic programs and courses, strengthening public awareness and reinforcing its role in community development. The initiative supported SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being through the promotion of blood donation and SDG 2: Zero Hunger through the provision of nourishing meals for blood donors and facilitating personnel.

Moreover, the activity advanced SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering collaboration among the College, student leaders, university representatives, and community stakeholders. The participation of CHTM in Dugong Bombo 2025 reaffirmed the University’s commitment to service-oriented education, academic promotion, and sustainable community partnerships.
