CBA-SGO officers together with their advisers, Ms. Khea Joy H. Botes & Ms. Marga L. Taganas, and Dean of CBA, Dr. Cherrie Mae M. Manuel after the ring weeding at Busol Watershed.

Officers and advisers of the College of Business Administration’s Student Government Organization actively participated in the ring weeding at Busol Watershed as the inaugural activity of The Green Investment Project on April 29, 2025.

Due to the current season being unsuitable for tree planting, participants focused their efforts on weeding around previously planted seedlings to support their growth and maintain the health of the area’s young trees. The Extension Officer of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, Mr. Jhycel Bucasan led the participants to the designated area for the ring weeding together with the Dean of CBA, Dr. Cherrie Mae M. Manuel. This activity was successfully conducted with the invaluable support and assistance of Ms. Helen K. Ba-awa from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).

The ring weeding activity at Busol Watershed is vital to The Green Investment Project’s goal of bridging business administration and environmental sustainability by providing business administration students with direct involvement in ecological stewardship, thereby fostering a mindset that integrates sustainable practices into business decision-making. Such initiatives enhance the reputation and social responsibility of future business professionals, preparing them to lead organizations that prioritize sustainability, innovation, and long-term value creation for society and the planet.

Participants with the representatives from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO).
