CBA students Lead with Purpose: Empowered by UNESCO and UN SDG

The College of Business Administration of Baguio Central University proudly joined as an empowered force for youth leadership, innovation, and sustainability during the 2025 National Gathering of UNESCO Clubs in Nasugbu, Batangas, held from November 21 to 23, 2025. The three-day event brought together youth leaders, educators, and international partners in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals UN SDGs, providing a platform for academic development and global engagement.

Representing the College of Business Administration were two student leaders SSC PRO Ms. Jane Cabugos from who competed in the College Level Quiz Bowl, and SSC CBA representative Ms. Jonalyn C. Geronimo, who showcased her skills in the College Essay Writing Competition. Their participation demonstrated the department’s strong commitment to academic excellence and leadership grounded in critical thinking, communication, and global citizenship.

Throughout the gathering, BCU engaged in activities that strengthened cross-cultural understanding and fostered cooperation among youth leaders from across the country. The event’s opening ceremonies featured inspiring cultural performances and empowering messages from UNESCO officials, emphasizing youth participation in building peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable communities, core principles that align deeply with the CBA’s mission.

         CBA students carry with them renewed motivation and a strengthened resolve to support initiatives advancing sustainable development and community engagement. Their participation reaffirms the department’s alignment with global frameworks and its vision of shaping future leaders who imagine, innovate, and take action for the common good. The College of Business Administration continues to stand as a vibrant community of young leaders, empowered by the ideals of UNESCO and inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals ready to contribute to a future built on peace, inclusivity, sustainability, and shared human dignity.
