What an incredible legacy that continues to inspire! Dr. Margarita Joven Fernandez, our hearts swell with profound gratitude and praise to God for the precious gift of your life and your audacious, unwavering vision. To sow the seeds of a school amidst the very chaos of WWII speaks volumes of your unparalleled courage.
Today, the Baguio Central University, the institution you founded stands as a living, breathing testament to your indomitable spirit, vibrantly flourishing through the unwavering dedication of every employee and the boundless trust of every student. We hold you and your beloved husband, Sir Godofredo, in the highest esteem.
Our Eucharistic Celebration yesterday, officiated by Rev. Fr. Domingo German Ledesma from the Diocese of Baguio (originally from Lomas de Zamora, Argentina), was a truly beautiful tribute, a moment to honor your pioneering spirit, your immense personal sacrifice, and your transformative leadership that shaped so many lives. We praise, honor, and glorify God for this!

Looking forward, this coming December 2025, our entire University will joyously celebrate a monumental milestone: our 80th Founding Anniversary – a testament to the enduring strength of the institution you so lovingly began. What an incredible privilege and honor it is to be part of the continued blossoming of your profound legacy. Praise God for this extraordinary journey!
May your prayers forever illuminate our path as we build upon the magnificent foundation you so bravely laid.
