The Green Investment Project: Ring Weeding Activity was successfully held on April 24, 2026, in Loakan, Itogon, Benguet. The activity involved CBA students, MBA students, and faculty members from the College of Business Administration, who participated in efforts to promote environmental sustainability. The main purpose of the activity was to ensure the healthy growth of planted trees by applying ring weeding techniques. Before the event, the group secured pine trees and coffee seedlings from the Community Pantree of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), which provides free seedling dispersal. This preparation highlighted the collaboration between the institution and the local environmental office in supporting conservation efforts.

On the day of the activity, participants gathered at the jeepney station at 6:30 AM and traveled for approximately 30 minutes to reach the site. The program began with an opening prayer led by Ms. Lovely Grace Basilang, followed by an orientation conducted by Dr. Jolly B. Mariacos, the college extension coordinator. She explained that a one-meter radius around each tree must be cleared of weeds to allow proper access to nutrients, water, and sunlight.

After the orientation, the participants immediately performed the ring weeding activity. They worked together to remove weeds surrounding the seedlings, demonstrating cooperation and teamwork. A short break was given to allow them to rest before continuing and completing their assigned areas.
