First College of Hospitality and Tourism Management RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM 2024

The First College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) Research Colloquium was successfully held on November 15, 2024, at Baguio Central University.
The colloquium featured six group of student presenters, each delivering insightful and comprehensive studies aimed at addressing key challenges and opportunities within the school and industry. The event was graced by dean, faculty members, research director, internal and external panel members who contributed to a vibrant and engaging atmosphere of knowledge exchange.

Theme: “Exploring New Horizons in Sustainable Growth in Hospitality and Tourism Research.”
The Panel of Examiners, chaired by BCU Research Director Dr. Michael T. Sebullen, included Engr. Cresilda Felix, PhD, Angelo Bayacsan, MBA and External Panel Member Ayson Depayso, MBA.
Best Student Research Presenter
The group composed of Ms. Erlea Mica Madarang, Ricka Basalong, Jamaykah Britney Bernal, Romelyn Dionisio, and Aiza Sanoy they were recognized as the Best Student Research Presenters for their outstanding work.
Their research, titled “Effectiveness of Turnitin in Enhancing Research Quality among Hospitality Management Students.” The group’s study and presentation emphasized the importance of using technology to uphold research standards, making their work valuable for hospitality management students and faculty.
