Baguio Central University officially commenced the week with its regular Monday Flag Ceremony held today, from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, at Fernandez Hall. The activity brought together faculty members, non-teaching personnel, and student assistants on duty in a shared expression of patriotism, unity, and commitment to public service.
This week’s flag ceremony was sponsored by the Accounting Office and the Management Information Systems (MIS) Office, whose collaborative efforts contributed to the successful conduct of the program. The ceremony concluded with a 15-minute wellness workout, encouraging employees to begin the week with renewed energy while promoting physical fitness, workplace wellness, and a healthy work-life balance.
Following the ceremony, key administrative offices delivered important institutional announcements. Dr. Michael T. Sebullen, Vice President for Administration, reminded the University community to remain prepared for the possible effects of the approaching Super Typhoon Bavi, emphasizing disaster preparedness, safety measures, and the importance of maintaining professionalism through the proper wearing of school uniforms and official identification cards.
Meanwhile, Dr. Elma D. Donaal, Vice President for Academic Affairs, provided updates on the upcoming final examinations and reminded academic units to submit their end-of-school-year accomplishment reports within the prescribed schedule.
Representing the Human Resource Development Office, Ms. Jamaica Luisa D. Simon, MAGC, HR Director, encouraged all concerned personnel to complete the evaluation of non-teaching employees as part of the University’s continuing commitment to performance management and organizational excellence.
The weekly flag ceremony continues to serve as a venue for fostering institutional unity, promoting employee wellness, disseminating important University updates, and reinforcing Baguio Central University’s commitment to excellence, professionalism, and responsive service.
