BCU-CCJE SGO Adviser Ms. Laura Stephanie E. Gulla formally entrusted the collected amount to the deceased’s elder sister, Ms. Jirah Mae B. Bacgalang. The turnover served as a meaningful gesture of sympathy, support, and remembrance, demonstrating that the bond between the university and its students extends beyond the classroom.
More than financial assistance, this initiative showed the power of collective kindness and the importance of standing together in times of hardship. Students’ willingness to share what they could demonstrated the values of empathy, generosity, and social responsibility that the BCU-CCJE community continues to uphold.
This initiative also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being, particularly its broader commitment to promoting well-being and supporting individuals and communities during difficult circumstances.
