Geodetic Engineering Student Association (GESA) conducted its first Geodetic Engineering Day (GE Day) in partnership with the BCU–PICE Student Chapter on March 4, 2026, at the Function Hall of the BCU Main Campus. Organized by the GESA officers, the event brought together all BCU Geodetic Engineering students for activities aimed at promoting academic learning, camaraderie, leadership, and teamwork.
The activity aimed to enhance students’ academic and practical knowledge in Geodetic Engineering by providing opportunities for active participation and learning. It encouraged students to apply concepts and skills related to their field while developing a deeper appreciation of the profession and its significance.
Beyond academic development, GE Day provided an opportunity for students from different year levels to interact, strengthen their relationships, and foster a greater sense of unity within the Geodetic Engineering community. The collaborative environment encouraged student engagement and helped promote camaraderie among participants.
The partnership with the BCU–PICE Student Chapter also highlighted the importance of cooperation in student activities. Through the initiative, students were encouraged to demonstrate leadership, responsibility, and teamwork—qualities that are valuable in their academic journey and future professional careers.
Overall, the inaugural GE Day served as a platform for learning, collaboration, and student development. Through the joint efforts of GESA and the BCU–PICE Student Chapter, the activity reinforced the value of organizational involvement and strengthened connections among aspiring Geodetic Engineering professionals.
The activity supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by encouraging student engagement, practical learning, and the development of skills relevant to Geodetic Engineering. By providing opportunities for collaboration, leadership, and active participation, GE Day contributed to a learning environment that supports students’ academic and personal development.
