By Marga L. Taganas, CPA, MBA

Faculty members from the College of Business Administration (CBA) actively participated in the Faculty Research Orientation held on February 4, 2025, at the Margarita J. Fernandez Hall, Main Campus. Organized by Baguio Central University’s Research and Development Center under the theme “Building a Culture of Research Through Dissemination,” the event aimed to equip educators with updated standards in academic writing, publication structures, and research ethics.

During the orientation, educators engaged in technical sessions led by the invited resource speakers. Mr. Oliver C. Celi, RIECO IT Specialist from the University of Baguio, discussed the IMRaD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) paper structure alongside APA 7th Edition formatting standards. Additionally, Mr. Francisco L. Soriano, Science Research Specialist from PSHS-CAR Campus, led a comprehensive lecture on data management ethics, addressing responsible data handling, protection, and sharing protocols. CBA faculty actively contributed to the open forum, sharpening their research competencies for institutional and publication outputs.

This participation directly aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education by enhancing faculty capabilities and continuous professional development in academic standards, and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure by advancing ethical research practices, scholarly innovation, and institutional research capacity.
