The College of Business Administration (CBA) of Baguio Central University successfully held its Faculty Roundtable Discussions and Recognition Awards Program on June 11, 2026, at the MJF Hall, bringing together faculty members and staff under the theme, “Celebrating Excellence, Sharing Insights & Strengthening Academic Collaboration.”
The event served as the formal culmination of the academic year, providing an avenue for reflection, evaluation, and recognition of the collective efforts that contributed to the college’s accomplishments.
The program commenced with a roundtable discussion led by CBA Dean Dr. Cherrie Mae Manuel. During the session, the college’s accomplishments and activities for the academic year were presented and assessed. Planned activities that were not fully implemented were also reviewed to identify challenges encountered and determine possible improvements. Faculty members actively participated by sharing insights, recommendations, and best practices aimed at enhancing future programs and initiatives. The discussion also included the re-echoing of key learnings from previously attended seminars, trainings, and professional engagements.
The second part of the program focused on recognizing the dedication and contributions of faculty and staff members who played significant roles in the college’s success throughout the academic year.
Before the presentation of awards, Dr. Michael T. Sebullen, Vice President for Administration, delivered an inspiring message centered on the “3Ps” −Pagpupuri, Pagpupugay, and Padayon. He emphasized that the recognition program was not only a celebration of accomplishments and a tribute to the efforts of faculty and staff, but also a reminder to continue their commitment to mentoring, teaching, and serving the university and the community.
During the awarding ceremony, the following awards were given in recognition of exemplary service and contributions to the college: Jodelmar Urbano received the Outstanding Scholarship Advocate Award; Argie Aquino was honored with the Professional Growth Award; Atty. Emmanuel Cocal was recognized with the Institutional Loyalty Award; Khea Joy H. Botes received the Faculty Innovator Award; Dr. Jolly B. Mariacos was given the Outstanding Extension Worker Award; Junik Cris Calahi received the Faculty Appreciation Award; Marga L. Taganas was honored as Exemplary Business Educator Award recipient; and Patricia Anne Lopez was recognized with the Exemplary Office Staff Award.
The event concluded on a positive and inspiring note, reinforcing the college’s commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and collaborative engagement. Through meaningful discussions and well-deserved recognition, the College of Business Administration reaffirmed its dedication to advancing quality education and strengthening its academic community for the years ahead.
This initiative supports SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting continuous faculty development, reflective practice, and excellence in teaching and learning. It also advances SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through strengthened collaboration among academic leaders, faculty members, and university administrators.
