The College of Business Administration (CBA) successfully conducted a peer teaching session focusing on Life Insurance on November 17, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Room M602. The activity was attended by CBA students and faculty members, fostering an engaging learning environment that bridged academic concepts with real-world applications.

The invited speaker, Ms. Rochelle Faith Malafu, a Life Insurance Planner at AIA Philippines (Philam Life) since 2018, led the discussion. She began by explaining the purpose and importance of insurance, using relatable and practical examples to help participants better understand its role in financial planning. Ms. Malafu then introduced the different types of insurance available in the market, with particular emphasis on life insurance.

To further enhance understanding, she utilized an interactive tool to present real-life insurance scenarios based on the profiles of volunteer students and faculty members. This approach allowed participants to see how life insurance plans work in actual situations. The session concluded with an open forum, where students actively raised questions and sought clarification on various insurance-related concerns.

The peer teaching session aimed to provide students with the opportunity to connect with an industry practitioner who is an expert in the field of insurance. Through this initiative, participants were able to gain deeper insights into current insurance practices, policies, and trends. More importantly, the activity supported students’ financial wellness by offering practical knowledge beyond the theories discussed in their regular classes. This event proved to be a meaningful and informative experience, equipping students with valuable knowledge that can help them make informed financial decisions in the future while strengthening their understanding of the insurance industry.
