On January 13, 2025, a lecture about Human Rights Education was held at the BCU Magsaysay Auditorium, where Pcpt. Fernando C. Pesase, the PRO-CAR Regional Police Human Rights Officer shared key insights on the importance of human rights in both personal and professional contexts.
Pcpt. Fernando C. Pesase kicked off the session with an overview of human rights education, explaining that there are fundamental rights every individual is entitled to, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or background. These include civil rights, economic rights, and social rights and more. He also explained the Human Rights Violations. For the intern’s knowledge, these rights provide a solid foundation for their future careers as law enforcers.

Pcpt. Fernando C. Pesase wrapped up the lecture with a video that the interns must analyze if the action of the law enforcer is right or wrong that can violate the criminal human rights. The lecture of Pcpt. Pesase is a good example of a fast analysis when the actions of a law enforcer go south. The criminology interns of Baguio Central University are intrigued by the lecture and its erudite discussion. In the end, the lecture is a great help for the CCJE interns of BCU for their future careers.

You can only be free if I am free.”
