On August 5, 2025, the College of Business Administration (CBA) of Baguio Central University successfully conducted a Seminar-Workshop on Curriculum Mapping with the theme, “Aligning Curriculum with Industry and Learning Outcomes for Business Education.” The activity was organized to strengthen the competencies of CBA faculty members in curriculum mapping and outcome-based education, ensuring that the College’s academic programs remain relevant, responsive, and aligned with industry needs, institutional goals, and intended learning outcomes. The seminar-workshop served as a strategic initiative to support continuous curriculum enhancement and quality assurance efforts while preparing the College for future program development and accreditation activities.

Welcome Remarks by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Elma D. Donaal

The seminar-workshop was facilitated by Dr. Michael T. Sebullen, who provided comprehensive discussions and practical guidance on the principles and processes of curriculum mapping. Through collaborative workshops and interactive learning sessions, faculty members actively reviewed, analyzed, and aligned the curricula of the College’s four academic programs with course outcomes, program outcomes, institutional learning outcomes, and industry competencies. The facilitator’s expertise enabled the participants to gain a deeper understanding of curriculum coherence, identify areas for enhancement, and ensure that each course contributes effectively to the achievement of graduate attributes and program educational objectives. Despite the limited time allotted for the workshop, the faculty successfully completed initial curriculum mapping outputs and engaged in meaningful discussions that promoted shared understanding and collaboration toward curriculum improvement.
