The College of Business Administration (CBA) of Baguio Central University (BCU) successfully conducted a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing with SUI Philippines, a non-government organization specializing in the SUI ecosystem, at the BCU Main Building. This partnership marks a meaningful step toward expanding academic opportunities and strengthening industry linkages that will greatly benefit the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) students of the college.
The event was participated in by BCU President Dr. Margarita Cecilda B. Rillera, together with the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Elma D. Donaal, Marketing Officer Mr. Karl Matthieu B. Rillera, the Executive Secretary, Mr. Oscar D. Rillera, and special assistant to the President, Ms. Michaela Caryl B. Rillera. Representing the College of Business Administration were CBA Dean, Dr. Cherrie Mae M. Manuel, and BSCS Program Head, Dr. Jolly B. Mariacos. For SUI Philippines, the agreement was represented by Mr. Gabriel Magdaddaro, Country Lead, and Mr. John Joshua P. Andaya, Community Leader.
The MOA signing aimed to strengthen the partnership between BCU-CBA and SUI Philippines by providing BSCS students with industry-aligned learning opportunities, skills development, and exposure to the SUI ecosystem to better prepare them for emerging technologies and future careers, supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure). Through this collaboration, SUI Philippines will support the college by offering capacity-building initiatives such as trainings, mentorship, and community engagement opportunities that enhance students’ digital competencies, innovation mindset, and professional readiness, while promoting meaningful partnerships in line with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
