Dr. Cherrie Mae M. Manuel, Dean and Research Coordinator of the College of Business Administration (CBA), actively participated in the 2026 Cordillera Regional Health Research and Development Consortium (CRHRDC) PPA Orientation on Plans, Programs, and Activities held on April 29, 2026. The webinar was hosted by University of the Philippines Baguio and gathered academic and research leaders across the region to strengthen collaboration in health and development research.
The orientation provided a comprehensive overview of the consortium’s priority directions, with particular emphasis on the research grants mechanism, which outlined funding opportunities, proposal processes, and compliance requirements for researchers. This segment highlighted strategies to improve access to research funding and encouraged institutions to align their research agendas with regional and national priorities.
In addition, the activity presented the 2026 calendar of programs and activities across the consortium’s key committees, namely: Research Management, Research Ethics, Capacity Building, and Research Utilization. Each committee shared its strategic initiatives, timelines, and expected outputs, ensuring that member institutions are well-informed and prepared to engage in collaborative and impactful research undertakings.
Dr. Manuel’s participation reflects the CBA’s ongoing commitment to advancing a strong research culture, fostering ethical and relevant studies, and strengthening institutional linkages. Insights gained from the orientation are expected to support the college in enhancing its research initiatives.
Through active engagement in regional research networks such as CRHRDC, the College of Business Administration continues to position itself as a proactive contributor to knowledge generation and sustainable development.
