This colloquium not only provided a platform for budding researchers to demonstrate their scholarly capabilities but also contributed to strengthening collaborative ties among academic institutions within the region.
The activity strongly aligns with multiple Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 17, 16, and 4; it exemplifies SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through the co-hosting collaboration between the University of Baguio and Baguio Central University, which strengthened regional academic ties under the theme “Meaningful Collaboration through Research.” Simultaneously, it advances SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by featuring student research on the Silungan Center’s innovative practices for managing children at risk, directly promoting child welfare, protection, and rehabilitation for vulnerable populations. Finally, the event champions SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing a dynamic intellectual platform for student researchers to showcase their academic works, benefit from expert mentorship, and uphold high scholarly standards through rigorous panel evaluations, thereby fostering a robust culture of practical and community-based research.
