During the program, Ma’am Jamaica Luisa D. Simeon, Human Resources Representative of BCU, provided practical tips on handling interviews effectively. She highlighted the importance of answering questions with confidence, maintaining proper body language, and clearly presenting one’s strengths.
“Before anything else, preparation is the key to success,” Simeon said.
She also introduced the T.E.A.C.H. method as a guide for delivering clear and compelling responses. According to Simeon, this means telling one’s story by sharing the journey as a future educator while highlighting passion and purpose; expressing confidence by speaking clearly, showing energy, and believing in one’s abilities; answering with structure by staying focused and using methods such as the STAR technique, which stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result; citing examples by providing real experiences that demonstrate one’s capabilities; and highlighting strengths by emphasizing relevant skills and qualifications.
